My GIFT told on Me!

Ok, maybe I should re-phrase the title. But the title captures exactly how I felt once getting into the car this afternoon. I felt like I had been found out! The Bible says that your gifts will make room for you. But I wasn't looking for a room. Since we just moved here, I thought I would sit quietly, definitely not inform others of my past experience (not wanting to bost), and learn in silence. Ha! Yeah right. Just from me answering questions and sharing insights from the study- I get called out. One of the leaders walked up to me today and asked, "when are you going to teach? I know you are a teacher. It is all over you and you can tell you are full of God's wisdom and have a sincere/deep faith."  WHAT??????????????????????????  Whatever happened to my umbrella I was hiding under. For Real. She proceeded to say, "I thought to myself, 'I think I'd like to sit in one of her classes.'"
So after picking my bottom lip up and off the floor. I said, "ok, God, this must be real." You see this isn't first time someone has approached me and said the exact words to me about this time last year. When a dear friend and Pastor told me this last year, he also challenged me to step into my calling (per say) and so I did. But once we moved away, I didn't want to be the type to walk up to everyone and say, "hey, look what I can do". So, I was just sitting quietly and glean from the Lord in the studies I am involved in.
Don't get me wrong, I take no issue in being used by the Lord.. He has plans and purposes I have not began to understand. All I know is they are right and good! So, Ultimately, I am ok with being put out there. Now it is time to seek the Lord even further- I love the LORD. He has and is GOOD TO ME!!!!

I will listen to  what God the LORD will say; He promises peace to His people.....Psalm 85:8a
